OPINION POLL:

Global Warming Opinion Survey of Hunters and Anglers in Florida [0]

A first-of-its kind Florida poll has found that the state's anglers and hunters, who voted for President Bush over John Kerry by a two to one margin in 2004, are overwhelmingly dissatisfied with the nation's current energy situation and believe global warming is already happening in Florida.

74 percent of Florida sportsmen believe that global warming is an urgent problem requiring immediate attention.

63 percent (55 percent who voted for George W. Bush), believe the country is on the "wrong track" in meeting its energy needs.

93 percent of Florida sportsmen agree with President Bush's statement that America is "addicted to oil." Among those that agree, however, 83 percent say the Administration and Congress are not doing enough to break the addiction.
